A specialist school for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and SEND needs is seeking experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support pupils on a long-term basis.
We are looking for a highly skilled SEND Teaching Assistant with experience working with complex ASD/SEMH pupils. Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils in developing their daily, academic, and social-emotional skills, preparing them for secondary education. You will provide interventions and cover classes across the school, supporting learning outcomes both in and out of the classroom under supervision.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH or complex emotional and behavioral needs. Experience with students with Autism and non-verbal students is preferable. Restraint or de-escalation training such as PRICE is desirable; PRICE training will be provided.
