Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Tower Hamlets, supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs. This is a full-time, long-term role starting after October Half Term, paying £100–£115 per day.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support across EYFS to KS2 and help children access literacy, numeracy and classroom routines within a structured SEND team.

Qualifications

• Experience as SEND TA or similar in a school.
• Experience with Autism, ADHD or speech and language needs.
• CACHE Level 2 or 3 desirable.
• Willing to work full-time, long-term.
• Ability to follow individual EHCP targets.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary – Tower Hamlets £100–£115 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | Start After October Half Term

Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school in Tower Hamlets, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning and communication needs. This is a full-time, long-term role for someone who is confident supporting children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and additional learning needs, both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, although this is not essential where there is strong practical SEND experience.

About the Role

• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2


• Working with children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and learning difficulties


• Providing 1:1 and small-group support


• Helping pupils access phonics, literacy, numeracy and wider classroom learning


• Supporting focus, communication and emotional regulation


• Following individual EHCP targets and support strategies


• Using visual resources and structured routines where appropriate


• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND team


• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence

About You

• Have previous experience as a SEND TA, LSA or similar support professional


• Have supported pupils with Autism, ADHD or speech and language needs


• Have previous school-based SEND experience – strongly preferred


• Are confident working 1:1 and in small groups


• Can adapt their support around the individual child


• Are calm, reliable and able to use initiative


• Hold a CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualification – highly desirable


• Can commit to a full-time, long-term role

The School & Location

The role is based within a primary school in Tower Hamlets, with excellent transport links across East London. This would be a strong fit for someone who wants to become a consistent part of a school’s SEND team and support pupils who benefit from structured, patient and relationship-led support.
