Salary: £90 - £105 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge? Aspire People is working with a supportive SEN school in Leicester to find a caring and proactive individual to work with younger students who require additional support due to Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a full-time role perfect for someone with a strong background in SEN, a compassionate approach, and a willingness to contribute to the daily care and learning of children in the early years. You will be instrumental in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with children with SEN, providing one-on-one support and guidance tailored to their needs.
Collaborate with teachers to modify lessons, resources, and activities to ensure all students are fully engaged.
Assist with personal care duties, including feeding, toileting, and helping with mobility when necessary.
Promote student independence and self-esteem, helping them engage positively with their learning and social interactions.
Ensure the classroom remains a nurturing and structured environment, offering support where needed, whether during lessons or breaks.
Be highly proactive in identifying students' needs and taking initiative to resolve any challenges or barriers to learning.
Assist with behaviour management, supporting children in maintaining focus and managing their emotions in a calm, supportive manner.

What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum of 1 year's experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is crucial.
A positive and proactive attitude - we need someone who takes initiative and can adapt quickly to changing needs or situations in the classroom.
Confidence in assisting with personal care needs for younger students, ensuring their dignity and safety at all times.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and students.
A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs, with the patience and empathy to support them effectively.
Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, ensuring consistent support for the children and the school team.

Why This Role is Perfect for You:

Competitive salary of £90 - £105 per day, reflecting your experience and skill set.
A full-time, engaging position where you can truly make a difference in the lives of children.
An inclusive, supportive environment where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
Opportunities for continuous professional development and support through Aspire People.
A fulfilling role that values your contribution to both the academic and personal growth of children.
