Sense Education is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Send Teaching Assistant to join a team dedicated to enriching the lives of students with various SEND needs in Leeds. From emotional regulation to sensory learning and physical support, every day in this role offers a new and rewarding challenge.

The Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, epilepsy, physical disabilities, and PEG feeding. Your responsibilities will include:

The School:
The school is deeply committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for students with SEND. With small class sizes, sensory rooms, and specialist outdoor learning areas, the school provides a nurturing setting where children can explore, learn, and grow. Staff work closely together to ensure every student’s individual needs are met, embracing diversity and encouraging achievement at every step.
Hours: You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do, and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education, you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
