Job summary

Vision for Education are working in partnership with a friendly and community-focused primary school to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant in Lancaster, Lancashire. This SEND Teaching Assistant role in Lancaster, Lancashire is due to start as soon as possible, and will continue for the full 2026/27 academic year, with permanent position available for the successful candidate in 2027.

The Role

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant in Lancaster, Lancashire will work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 child with ASC, supporting them both academically and emotionally throughout the school day. The role will involve helping the child to access learning activities, develop social skills and build confidence within the classroom environment.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant in Lancaster, Lancashire, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement tailored support strategies and provide consistent encouragement and reassurance for the pupil. Experience working with children with ASC and/or SEMH needs will be highly desirable for this role.
