Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Contract Type: Long Term

Pay: £85 to £100 Per Day

Leader Education are recruiting a Special Needs Learning Support Assistant to work at a large SEND school based in Harrogate. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with SEND and/or PMLD. The school has ages ranging from 2 - 19 years old and pride themselves on being a warm and welcoming academy that helps to secure the best possible outcomes for their students.

Their latest Ofsted rating was presented as "Good" as they continue to create a vibrant, enjoyable and inclusive space for children.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4.30pm and is a long-term position, given a successful trial.

The successful candidate will have:

1. An Enhanced DBS or be willing to gain one
2. An educational background or work experience relevant to the position
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Adaptability and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students
5. Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
6. Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
7. The ability to support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
