The School and Role

We are looking for individuals with a Creative Arts background to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school environment.

Your main responsibilities include providing support to students in our EYFS and Primary SEND School, assisting with personal care and hygiene, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. You will collaborate with teachers, implement behaviour management strategies, and help maintain accurate records. Empathy, effective communication, and adaptability are essential to promote student well-being and academic progress.

You will build positive relationships with pupils and use your creative arts skills to enhance their educational experience. This role offers valuable experience working in schools and can serve as a stepping stone towards a future career supporting children.

Requirements

• A desire to work in SEND schools across Teesside and the North East, supporting pupils with various needs.
• Relevant experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
• A warm, friendly nature to foster positive relationships with pupils.
• A background in creative arts that can be incorporated into school activities.
• Willingness to use public transport or drive.
