Job summary

Supply Desk are seeking a 1:1 primary teaching assistant to work with a child with Autism in a Fareham area school rated Good by Ofsted. The position starts October 2026, with a daily pay rate of £85-£92 and working hours from 08:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday.

The role involves supporting a Year 3 pupil, adapting resources to meet needs, and helping regulate emotions using PECS, zones of regulation and sensory circuits. Long-term, full-time contract.

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant seeking a new role? Do you have experience working with a child with Autism who can become frustrated at his barriers to education? Can you create trusting and respectful relationships?

This is in a school which is rated at the expected standard" by Ofsted school in the Fareham area. The role would be working 1:1 each day, often adapting resources to suit needs and help regulate emotions.
