Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking flexible and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis within our SEND Schools across Teesside. You will be supporting pupils aged 2-19 who are autistic or have profound, moderate, severe or complex learning difficulties.

This role offers the chance to gain experience across different year groups and work with children with special educational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs (school, care or youth work settings welcome)
• A calm, patient and proactive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
• Assisting with learning activities and adapting materials to meet pupil needs
• Supporting children with their social and emotional development
• Helping to implement Educational health care plans (EHCPs) and behaviour strategies

Tradewind Recruitment are in partnership agreements with two groups of SEND Schools and we are currently seeking flexible and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis within our SEND Schools across Teesside. You will be supporting pupils aged 2-19 who are autistic or have profound, moderate, severe or complex learning difficulties.
