Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants in Croydon to support pupils with Learning Difficulties, Autism and Complex Needs. The role involves assisting with group or 1:1 activities, and providing empathetic, versatile support to pupils across different learning levels.

Candidates should be adaptable, able to work with various age groups, and hold a DBS or be willing to apply. The position is full-time with opportunities for training and potential permanent contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or adults with Autism or Complex Needs.
• DBS clearance or willingness to obtain DBS check.
• Available to work 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 or with groups in classroom.
• Support pupils with Complex Needs, Autism & Learning Difficulties.
• Assist with behaviour management and supervision of pupils.
• Encourage and engage pupils in learning and development.
• Assist with personal care such as toileting and feeding.

Empowering Learning are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with Learning Difficulties in Croydon. We are seeking Teaching Assistant's with a background of supporting children or adults with Complex Needs, Autism or Learning Difficulties.

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a caring and empathetic nature towards the pupils but also remain resilient and patient under difficult scenarios. The school would like positive and versatile SEN Teaching Assistants, with a keen interest in supporting pupils of different learning levels.

Job Responsibilities

• Able to work with groups or 1:1 support within the classroom
• Supporting pupils with Complex Needs, Autism & Learning Difficulties
• Supervising & managing pupils behaviour
• Encourage, engage and support pupils with their learning & development
• Support with personal care e.g. toileting & feeding

Job Requirements

• Adaptable and willing to work with different age groups
• Willing to support children with learning difficulties and disabilities
• Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS
• Available 5 days a week
