Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking SEND teachers for long-term supply across King’s Lynn and surrounding areas. You will support pupils with diverse additional needs in mainstream and specialist settings, tailoring lessons to EHCP targets and collaborating with SENCOs to ensure inclusive provisions.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have SEND experience, and are adept at differentiation, communication, and classroom management while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent must be held.
• Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings.
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Willingness to work across multiple schools.

Responsibilities

SEND Teacher –Long-term supply across King's Lynn and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Duties as SEND Teacher:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with SEND across various schools
• Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and EHCP targets
• Collaborate with support staff and SENCOs to ensure effective provision
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
• Provide feedback and contribute to pupil progress reviews
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently

Ideal SEND Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEND in mainstream or specialist settings
• Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a SEND Teacher
• Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different schools
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
