Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist school in Preston to recruit a dedicated Teacher for a long-term position with an immediate start. The role involves planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of complex SEND needs, in a warm, inclusive environment.

You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to support EHCP outcomes and student development, with the potential to secure a permanent post for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND, including Autism, SLD, or PMLD.
• Ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

Salary: £140 - £220 per day

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher on a long-term basis with an immediate start, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Teacher. The successful Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes, working closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic progress and personal development.

The successful Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND, including Autism, SLD, PMLD or complex learning needs
• The ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching
• A commitment to working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
