Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teacher for a full-time, long-term position in Bristol starting September 2026. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD and complex needs, working with a dedicated team of support staff to help each pupil succeed.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience with SEND are essential, with a patient, adaptable approach and strong communication with pupils, families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and be eligible to teach in the UK.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism/ASD, SLD, PMLD.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative, differentiated lessons.
• Strong behaviour management and positive behaviour support.
• Excellent communication with pupils, families and staff.
• Patient and adaptable with passion for SEND.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex needs.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure pupil progress.
• Assess and track progress and adapt teaching strategies.
