Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a SEND Teacher for a specialist school in Bristol. The role is full-time and long-term from September 2026, with potential extension for the right candidate.

You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD and complex needs, supported by a dedicated team of staff. Requirements include QTS and experience with SEND, plus strong communication, planning and behaviour management skills.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience teaching or supporting children and young people with SEND (ASD/SLD/PMLD).
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exciting, engaging and differentiated lessons for pupils with ASD/SLD/PMLD and complex needs.
• Work closely with support staff to ensure pupils receive encouragement and support to succeed.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
