Job summary

Somerset Progressive School seeks a dedicated SEND Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality lessons up to GCSE mathematics, supporting diverse learning needs. The role emphasises inclusive practice, safeguarding, and collaborative work across two rural sites near Taunton.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision.
• Commitment to teaching pupils with SEND.
• QTS/QTLS is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and planning lessons to support mathematics up to GCSE.
• Providing professional learning and development for pupils through personalised learning routes.
• Helping and supporting individual pupils and encouraging independent study.
• Prepare teaching materials and monitor use of equipment to ensure safety.
