Job summary

Sexey's School is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Maths Tutor to support a student with SEND resitting their GCSE Maths qualification. You will provide tailored tuition, identify gaps in knowledge and adapt teaching strategies to meet the learner's needs, while developing mathematical understanding, problem solving and exam skills.

The post holder will work closely with the SEND team to monitor progress, give feedback and adjust approaches to help the student achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Relevant tutoring experience with SEND preferred.
• Ability to tailor lessons to individual learning needs.
• Experience supporting GCSE Maths would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition for a student resitting GCSE Maths.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Maths Tutor to support a student with SEND who is resitting their GCSE Maths qualification. The successful candidate will provide tailored 1:1 tuition, identifying gaps in knowledge and adapting teaching strategies to meet the student's individual learning needs. They will support the development of mathematical understanding, problem-solving and examination skills, while building the student's confidence and independence. The post holder will work closely with relevant school staff and the SEND team to ensure appropriate support is provided. They will monitor progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt their approach to help the student achieve their potential.
