Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND setting in the Uxbridge area that is looking for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. Start ASAP, full-time, long-term contract, with a competitive daily rate dependent on experience.

As a SEND Teacher you will plan and deliver creative, highly differentiated lessons for pupils with ASC and SLD, support a range of communication and sensory needs, collaborate with Teaching Assistants and other professionals, follow EHCP

Qualifications

Patience and creativity to deliver differentiated lessons.
Experience teaching ASC/SLD or SEND required.
Strong knowledge of SEND and behaviour management.
Ability to support non-verbal and sensory needs.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
Support pupils with ASC, SLD and complex learning needs.
Work with Teaching Assistants and other professionals within the classroom.
Use communication strategies to engage pupils, including non-verbal learners.
Follow EHCP targets and support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Create a calm, structured classroom environment.
Manage behaviour positively and consistently.
