Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in the Uxbridge area is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a specialist setting on a long-term basis. You will plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs for pupils with autism and severe learning difficulties.

You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, use varied communication strategies, and contribute to EHCP targets while creating a calm, structured classroom. DBS Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous experience teaching pupils with ASC and/or SLD.
• Strong knowledge of SEND and differentiated teaching.
• Experience supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs.
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.
• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.

The role
