TeacherActive Limited is seeking a SEND Teacher for urgent cover across Merseyside. The role requires a nurturing, relationship-led approach to support children with additional needs and to quickly adapt to each pupil’s requirements.

You will work with learners who have conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and emotional regulation challenges, creating a safe, supportive classroom and building strong bonds with pupils to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SEND settings.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs.
• Strong understanding of behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Ability to connect with pupils individually.

We are urgently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teacher to provide cover on both a short and long term basis across my schools in Merseyside.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives on building meaningful relationships with pupils and understands the importance of a nurturing, individualised approach to supporting children with additional needs.

About the Role

You will be working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Challenging behaviours and difficulties with emotional regulation.

The successful teacher will play a key role in creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment, using positive and proactive strategies to minimise triggers and prevent dysregulation.

What We're Looking For

• Has previous experience working within a SEND setting.
• Is confident supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviours.
• Has a strong understanding of behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils on an individual basis.
• Is patient, empathetic, resilient and consistent.
• Understands that getting to know each child, their individual needs and potential triggers is key to a successful learning environment.
