Job summary

Randstad Education is urgently seeking an experienced SEND Teacher in Leatherhead to deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching for pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions. The role includes leading a subject area, fostering independence, and creating a safe learning environment.

You will work on EHC plans, PEPs, and collaborate with families and external agencies, with a strong focus on safeguarding and achieving GCSE-equivalent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with PGCE
• Proven experience teaching ASC/SEND pupils
• Deep understanding of autism and safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Teaching & planning: Deliver tailored KS3/KS4 lessons up to GCSE level.
• Classroom leadership: Manage complex dynamics and lead a designated subject area.

Requirements

• Qualifications & Experience: QTS (or equivalent with PGCE) plus proven experience teaching ASC/SEND pupils.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of autism, safeguarding procedures, and teaching up to GCSE level.
• Logistics & Vetting: Valid driver's license, reliable transport access, Enhanced DBS check, and UK right to work (no sponsorship available).
