Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting compassionate SEND Teachers to work across Specialist and SEND settings in Halifax from September 2026. The partner schools support pupils with ASC, learning difficulties, complex needs and speech and language needs in inclusive settings.

You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, develop IEPs, work with Teaching Assistants and families, and monitor progress. This is a long-term role with potential for permanent placement and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching credential required.
• Experience with SEND is desirable.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
• Patient, adaptable and resilient in challenging settings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for individual needs.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
• Develop IEPs and contribute to EHCP outcomes.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and external professionals.
• Support pupils' communication, independence and life skills.
• Monitor progress and celebrate individual achievements.
• Promote positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches.
• Build relationships with families and multi-disciplinary teams.

Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)

Milk Education is recruiting compassionate and dedicated SEND Teachers to work across Specialist and SEND settings in Halifax from September. Our partner schools support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs and Speech & Language needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
