Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support learners within a specialist post-16 educational setting in Harrogate from September 2026. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping learners develop independence, communication and confidence while working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff.

This long-term, full-time role offers specialist SEND training and CPD, with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and resilient.
• Passionate about supporting young people with SEND.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible, proactive and able to adapt to individual needs.
• Previous experience within education, care or support work is desirable.
• Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care or related graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of Autism, learning disabilities or communication strategies is beneficial but not essential.
• A positive and encouraging approach to supporting young people.

Milk Education is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support learners within a specialist post-16 educational setting in Harrogate from September. The setting provides a highly inclusive environment for young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to develop academically, socially and independently as they prepare for adulthood.
