Job summary

Keys Education is seeking a SEND Teacher for Southpark Enterprise College in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. The post focuses on planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive learning for pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours in an SEMH setting.

You will lead a team of Teaching Assistants, collaborate with families and professionals, and uphold safeguarding and the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, nurturing learning environment.

SEND Teacher - Southpark Enterprise College

Purpose of Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The Teacher will model professional integrity and the EPIC values, work collaboratively within the school community, and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to promote a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.

South Park Enterprise College is an independent SEMH specialist school for students aged 11-16, many with EHCPs and diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD. We provide a safe nurturing environment for young people who have struggled in mainstream schools or face exclusion.

Requirements

• The role focuses on planning and delivering personalised learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of pupils with communication differences, sensory processing needs, and complex and severe learning needs
• Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• collaborative working with families and professionals to support children's progress
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Lead a team and provide clear guidance to Teaching Assistants
• Help to disseminate good practice across the school.

Responsibilities

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
• QTS/QTLS is requirement
