Job summary

Southfield School is seeking a SEND Teacher to support pupils who are autistic or have associated learning needs. The role invites enthusiastic practitioners to develop expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment within a specialist primary setting.

You will deliver creative, personalised learning, collaborate with therapists and families, track pupil progress and contribute to the school's continuous improvement and community life.

About the Role

As a SEND Teacher at Southfield, you will:

  • Demonstrates strong classroom practice and behaviour management
  • Is resilient, reflective and nurturing in their approach
  • Enjoys working as part of a committed and supportive team
  • Has high expectations for themselves and their pupils
  • Can deliver a commitment to SEND and inclusive practice
  • Desirables would include experience working with autism and complex needs and knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, Makaton or sensory approaches
