Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking a compassionate SEND Class Teacher to lead a class of pupils in a supportive and inclusive Birmingham setting. You will design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals, and monitor pupil progress to foster academic and personal growth within a calm, nurturing environment.

The Role
  • Provide tailored learning support to enable every pupil to achieve their individual potential.
  • Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to a variety of students with learning abilities and needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support pupil development.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS/QTLS essential).
  • Has experience working with pupils with SEND, particularly those working below age-related expectations.
  • Understands SEMH, cognition and learning needs, communication difficulties, or other complex learning profiles.
  • Is patient, resilient, and creative in their approach to teaching.
  • Has strong behaviour-support skills.
  • Can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
To be considered for the role, you will:
  • Have a suitable qualification, (QTS/QTLS essential).
  • Have experience of working with children with special education needs and disabilities.
  • Be confident in your abilities and skills to promote happy and confident learners.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
