Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting SEND Teachers for Devizes with flexible working options and long-term roles. Immediate starts available. We offer excellent pay rates (discussed at registration) and dedicated consultant support to place you in suitable SEND schools.

Roles cover settings for PMLD, SEMH, ASC and other learning needs. If you hold QTS and have SEND experience or transferable skills, you could join a professional team committed to high-quality education.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in SEND or transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
  • Desire to join a committed SEND team and embrace each school's ethos.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching with ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
  • Additional SEND training such as Team Teach, MAPPA, Makaton, PECS, moving and handling desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver inspiring SEND lessons.
  • Collaborate with SEND teachers, LSAs and school staff.
  • Uphold safeguarding and professional standards.
  • Engage in ongoing CPD and training as offered.

The role

Vision for Education are a leading supply agency, specialising in day to day or long-term roles in SEND schools. A specialist SEND consultant will work closely with you to find your ideal role and school/s. We have partnership schools that cater for children with: PMLD, SEMH, ASC and a range of other learning disabilities. Therefore, whatever your background, there would be a school for you to put your skills to use. Equally, if you fancy a fresh start and trying something new, there is also that opportunitiy.

The requirements

To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have previous experience within a SEND setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA's and embrace each school's unique ethos
  • Have an enthusiasm for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessonsAdditional SEND training such as Team Teach, Mappa, Makaton, PECS, moving and handling is highly desirable

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS Check that must be registered to the Update Service.
