Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Ruislip is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs through 1:1 and small group work. You will work with an experienced teacher and SENCO to help pupils build confidence, develop independence and access learning in a calm, structured environment.

The role starts immediately following a trial period.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH or Speech & Language needs).
• Experience supporting non-verbal pupils.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Proactive team player who enjoys helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning.
• Help pupils build confidence and independence in a structured environment.
• Maintain a calm, nurturing classroom atmosphere to enable access to learning.
