Job summary

Teach Now is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with physical disabilities in a Harrow primary school. You will assist with personal care and mobility while promoting dignity and inclusion.

Working within Year 3 or Year 4, you will follow care plans and safeguarding guidelines to help the pupil access lessons and activities safely, building independence where possible. This is a full-time temporary role starting 02/11/2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with physical disabilities.
• Experience providing personal care (nappy changing) and mobility support.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, dignity and privacy policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with physical disabilities.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning following procedures.
• Provide personal and intimate care, including nappy changing, while maintaining privacy.
• Help the pupil access lessons and activities safely; encourage independence.
