Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for a Personal Care SEN Teaching Assistant in Harrow to join a specialist support team. You will help secondary students with SEND, providing 1:1 and small-group support, including personal care and encouraging independence.

The role requires a caring, patient approach and DBS clearance (Child & Adult). The school emphasises teamwork and reliability for a long-term position starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience with personal care is highly desirable.
• Patient, caring and compassionate approach.
• Confident supporting students with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small-group SEN support.
• Personal care, toileting, hygiene and changing.
• Supporting students with learning and communication.
• Encouraging independence and social development.
• Supporting students with complex and behavioural needs.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
