Job summary

Harris Lee is seeking a Lead Teaching Assistant for the Senior School (SEND) in Fulham. You will support secondary students with SpLD, ASC and ADHD in small classes, working with teachers and the Therapy team to guide and mentor the TA group.

Role involves delivering targeted interventions, modeling best practice, and fostering a calm, inclusive classroom environment. DBS check required and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching or learning support assistant, ideally in SEND or specialist setting.
• Experience supporting students with SpLD, ASC or ADHD and delivering interventions.
• Calm, proactive and organised, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to helping young people build confidence, resilience and independence.
• Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check, and the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job title: Lead Teaching Assistant (Senior School, SEND), Fulham

We are recruiting a Lead Teaching Assistant to join the Senior School at a specialist independent school in Fulham, supporting secondary-age students (Years 7 to 11) with SpLD such as dyslexia, ASC and ADHD in small classes.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time
Salary: Up to 28,000 per annum

The role

You will work alongside teachers and the in-house Therapy team, combining your own classroom support with guiding and supporting the wider teaching assistant team. Day to day you will:

• Provide classroom and small-group support for students with SpLD, ASC and ADHD
• Help students stay engaged and regulated, and support behaviour and sensory needs

About you
