Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant/HLTA in Walsall to support primary pupils with Special Educational Needs. The role focuses on helping pupils thrive in class and personally, with a hands-on approach and calm handling of challenging behaviours.

You'll work 1:1 and in small groups, build trust with pupils and staff, and contribute to their development while following safeguarding procedures and participating in CPD opportunities offered by Monarch.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a SEND or behaviour-focused setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills with the confidence to de-escalate safely.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to supporting pupils.
• Confidence working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils displaying challenging behaviour.

About the role:

You will be helping primary pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs to thrive both in the classroom and as individuals. Working closely with students every day, you will support their learning, build their confidence and support with their personal development. This is a hands-on role and many key aspect which include managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a calm, confident and proactive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• A proactive, hands-on approach to supporting learning and development.
