Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a passionate SEND Teacher to join a supportive secondary SEND school in Greenwich. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and support students with a range of SEND, ensuring progress and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, have experience with EHCPs, enhanced DBS, and the right to work in the UK, with opportunities for long-term placements and professional development through Prospero's CPD and training resources.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience teaching in a SEND setting or with additional needs.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning strategies.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to provide two recent teaching references.
• Passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach and support students with SEND including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and Complex Needs.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student progress and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
• Manage behaviour effectively and support students to achieve their educational goals.

The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
