Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher for roles across Newham's SEND schools. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and support pupils with various needs, including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD and Complex Needs, while collaborating with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families to monitor progress.

QTS (or equivalent) is required; SEND experience is preferred but not essential. A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience with SEND preferred.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Support pupils with ASD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD and Complex Needs.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress to support development and achievement.
