TeacherActive is partnering with a welcoming SEND provision in Nottinghamshire to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping children with SEND engage in learning and build confidence.

If you have experience supporting children with SEND, a patient, adaptable approach, and strong communication, this role offers flexible hours, weekly PAYE payments, and ongoing long-term opportunities.

Formación

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team. Day-to-day supply and potential long-term opportunities are available.

You will:

Provide one-to-one and small-group support

Help make learning engaging and accessible

Encourage positive behaviour and participation

Celebrate pupils’ progress and achievements

Support the development of confidence, independence and social skills

Work closely with teaching staff to give every pupil the best possible support

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND

Knowledge or experience of Autism and ADHD

A positive, patient and adaptable approach

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

An understanding of positive behaviour support

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

A good understanding of safeguarding
