Job summary

Prospero Teaching is partnering with an outstanding specialist SEND school in Bury, seeking a SEND Support Worker to provide hands-on, personalised support to pupils aged 11-19 with complex needs. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and families to remove barriers to learning.

The role is full-time and permanent, with term-time hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Applicants must have Right to Work in the UK, an enhanced DBS, and be committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with complex SEND needs.
• Confident working with pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASD, physical disabilities or sensory impairments.
• Warm, person-centred approach with commitment to student wellbeing.
• Ability to follow detailed support and care plans consistently.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, personalised support to students with SEND.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and families to remove barriers to learning.
• Follow care plans accurately and communicate student progress to the team.
