Job summary

Envision Education is recruiting a dedicated SEND Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Bourne End school on an immediate start.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND, work closely with the class teacher and SEND team, and help develop communication, social and emotional skills while promoting an inclusive learning environment. Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm, with competitive pay dependent on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or SEND is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and understanding approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within an educational setting.
  • Ability to commute to Bourne End area.

SEND Support Teaching Assistant - Bourne End | Immediate Start

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEND Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Bourne End, with an immediate start available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain valuable experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) while making a genuine difference to their learning, development and wellbeing.

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is highly desirable, although applicants with experience in care, support work, youth work or other child-focused settings are also encouraged to apply.

The Role

As a SEND Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Previous experience working with children, young people, SEND or within a care/support setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, caring and understanding approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Confidence supporting children with a range of additional needs.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills within an educational setting.
  • The ability to commute to or work within the Bourne End area.
