Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is recruiting a Student Support Assistant to work with 11–18 year olds with SEND in a specialist provision in England. You will be guiding learning alongside teachers, delivering personalised activities and supporting social, emotional and independence skills in daily activities.

The role involves personal care and medical support as needed, plus participating in off-site visits. Training and safeguarding checks are provided, with PAYE contracts and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student-centred support.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 11–18 with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties.
• Work with qualified teachers and specialist staff to deliver engaging, personalised learning.
• Provide individual and small group support addressing educational, social and emotional needs.
• Assist with personal care and medical needs where required.
• Contribute to behaviour support strategies and positive communication.
• Help prepare students for adulthood, including independent living skills.
• Participate in off-site learning and educational visits.
