Aspire People is hiring for a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant role in Hulme, Manchester. You will deliver fun, structured sports and provide classroom support to SEND pupils, helping them engage and behave positively throughout the school day.

We value energy, patience, and a genuine commitment to pupil wellbeing. The role involves safeguarding, health & safety, attendance tracking, and liaising with staff and families. First Aid/DBS willingness required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Positive, caring, and motivational approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to inclusivity, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, structured sports and physical activity sessions tailored to SEND pupils.
• Support pupils in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant, encouraging engagement and positive behaviour.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Adapt activities and learning support to suit individual needs and abilities.
• Promote teamwork, confidence and wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Maintain attendance records and follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
