Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting SEND Specialist Tutors to support students in Jarrow. Roles include one-to-one and small-group tuition across various locations, including home or community learning hubs. The position is contract-based with flexible part-time or full-time hours and starts ASAP.

Ideal candidates have UK classroom experience with SEND, and are capable of creating personalised lesson plans, tracking progress, and communicating with families. DBS checks are welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN in the UK.
• Ability to deliver one-to-one and small-group tuition for SEND pupils.
• Creativity and adaptability in planning personalised lessons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition supporting SEND students, building confidence and independence.
• Develop and implement personalised lesson plans addressing learning gaps.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to students and families.
• Maintain a supportive learning environment and document attendance/reports.
