Job summary

Ark St Alban's Academy in Birmingham is seeking a Teacher of SEND with specialist KS1/KS2 expertise to teach pupils with complex needs. The role involves planning personalised lessons, differentiating content, and contributing to support plans within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will have QTS, a relevant degree, and ongoing SEND professional development, working in a school serving diverse pupils in central Birmingham.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Evidence of continued professional development relating to SEND.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, personalised lessons for high-need SEND learners.
• Differentiate curriculum to enable access at appropriate levels.
• Support development of pupils' academic progress, communication, independence, emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with therapists and educational psychologists for integrated support.
• Contribute to risk assessments, behaviour support plans, and personalised learning plans.
