Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a dedicated SEND Specialist to join a three-form-entry mainstream primary school in Bow, East London.

You will support children with additional needs within the school's SEND provision, adapting learning activities, managing behaviour, and working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to help pupils reach their potential. This full-time role offers a supportive environment and ongoing consultant guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND provision, ARP or specialist setting.
• Confident supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Able to adapt learning activities to individual needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs and targets.
• Patient, resilient, proactive and enthusiastic.
• Can work with teachers, SENCOs and support staff.
• Primary SEND provision experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Is experienced in supporting pupils with EHCPs and individual learning targets
• Is patient, resilient, proactive and enthusiastic
• Can work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs and support staff
• Experience working within a primary SEND provision is highly desirable!
