Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking experienced SEND and SEMH Tutors to work with children and young people across Berkshire. In-person tutoring roles involve providing personalised educational support and building positive, trusting relationships with students.

Tutors will adapt teaching to meet individual needs, support students with SEND/SEMH, and collaborate with parents and professionals while upholding safeguarding standards and DBS checks where required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational, tutoring or support settings.
• Experience working with students with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one or small-group tuition where needed.
• Support core subjects such as English and Maths according to experience.
• Assist students with SEND/SEMH needs and learning goals.
• Plan engaging, accessible and personalised learning activities.
• Adapt teaching approaches to individual abilities and engagement levels.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and carers.
