Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking supportive SEND/SEMH tutors for in-person positions in Wokingham, Berkshire. You will provide personalised educational support to students who may have SEND/SEMH needs, building confidence and engagement through flexible teaching approaches.

The role involves one-to-one or small-group tuition, collaboration with parents and professionals, and safeguarding responsibilities to promote progress and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational, tutoring or support settings.
• Experience working with students with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check, where required; satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one or small-group tuition to primary and/or secondary students.
• Support students with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Plan engaging, accessible, personalised learning activities.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs and engagement levels.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students and engage parents or carers as needed.
