Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated Learning and Pastoral Support Teaching Assistant to join a specialist team in a UK school. The role focuses on helping young people thrive with SEMH, Autism, and ADHD within a structured, supportive environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 16:30, enjoying term-time only hours. The role involves small group support, trauma-informed activities, and collaboration with teachers on EHCP and IEP plans to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting SEND or SEMH needs.
• 3–6 months in an educational setting with challenging behaviours.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/5 or Level 2 equivalent.
• Right to work in the UK; DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small class settings with learning and pastoral care.
• Use trauma-informed practices to promote independence.
• Assist teachers with EHCP/IEP plans and progress tracking.
• Create a safe, restorative environment for students.
