Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Behaviour Mentors to work in SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex, including Hastings, Battle, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes and surrounding areas.

Roles include 1:1 roles, intervention and pastoral support, flexible supply, and long-term placements across both primary and secondary specialist settings.

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to SEND/SEMH environments is valued.
• Experience from mainstream schools, care, youth work, mentoring, or tutoring can provide a strong foundation.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with pupils while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
• Stay calm when situations are challenging and communicate clearly with pupils and colleagues.
• Adapt to varying settings and maintain consistency from day to day.
• Work well within a wider staff team and understand behaviour can be communication.
