Quantum Scholars is seeking a SEND Science Tutor to provide in-person, personalised Science tuition across Somerset. You will work one-to-one or in small groups, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and build student confidence and engagement in Science.
The role emphasizes safeguarding, constructive feedback to parents/carers, and flexible, pace-driven teaching for students with SEND or SEMH needs.
Quantum Scholars is looking for a supportive, patient and experienced SEND Science Tutor to work with children and young people across Somerset. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.
The role will involve providing personalised Science tuition to students who may have additional learning needs and benefit from a flexible, individualised approach to education. You will be expected to build positive and trusting relationships with students, adapt your teaching to meet their individual needs and help develop their confidence, engagement and progress in Science.
The successful tutor will be able to create engaging and accessible lessons while remaining flexible to each student's pace, interests and learning needs. Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH needs or those who have found mainstream education challenging would be particularly beneficial.
