Job summary

Bedford Borough Council is recruiting a Finance and Data Analyst to support the SEND Reforms programme. This role combines finance expertise with data analysis to help senior leaders make informed decisions and improve outcomes for children and young people.

You will lead analysis, reporting and monitoring across Bedford Borough Council, the NHS and partners, developing dashboards and robust reporting to stakeholders, including the Department for Education. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in finance, data analysis or performance reporting.
• Experience producing dashboards and management information using Excel, Power BI, SQL or similar.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex information clearly to varied audiences.
• Organised, analytical and committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis, reporting and monitoring of programme performance and finances.
• Develop dashboards, identify trends and risks, and support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure robust reporting to the Department for Education and other key stakeholders.
