Job summary

London South East Colleges seeks an experienced SEND Quality Specialist to lead SEND quality assurance and improvement across the College. The role involves driving inclusion, supporting curriculum teams and embedding inclusive teaching, learning and assessment in all areas.

You will line manage Senior SEND Teaching & Learning Coaches, using reviews, learner voice and performance data to target improvements and raise learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience of leading teams and driving quality improvement within education.
• Strong knowledge of SEND, EHCPs, reasonable adjustments and inclusive teaching practice.
• Experience of coaching and supporting colleagues to improve teaching, learning and assessment.
• Ability to analyse data, identify priorities and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence to support and challenge colleagues at all levels.
• Commitment to inclusion, continuous improvement and learner success.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEND quality assurance and improvement across the College.
• Line manage a team of Senior SEND Teaching & Learning Coaches and provide clear direction.
• Use quality reviews, learner voice, lesson observations and performance data to identify strengths and drive improvements.
• Champion high expectations and inclusive classroom practice to ensure SEND learners receive needed support.
• Contribute to self-assessment, quality improvement planning and inspection readiness.
