Job summary

London South East Colleges Group is seeking an experienced SEND Quality Specialist to lead SEND quality assurance and improvement across the College. You will line manage Senior SEND Teaching & Learning Coaches and guide targeted support to maximise impact.

You will use quality reviews, learner voice, observations and performance data to drive improvements, champion inclusive practice and ensure learners with SEND receive the support they need to thrive.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• A recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience of leading teams and driving quality improvement within education.
• Strong knowledge of SEND, EHCPs, reasonable adjustments and inclusive teaching practice.
• Experience of coaching and supporting colleagues to improve teaching, learning and assessment.
• The ability to analyse data, identify priorities and translate findings into practical improvement actions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to support and challenge colleagues at all levels.
• A commitment to inclusion, continuous improvement and learner success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the College's approach to SEND quality assurance and improvement across the College.
• Line manage a team of Senior SEND Teaching & Learning Coaches and provide clear direction.
• Use quality reviews, learner voice, lesson observations and performance data to identify strengths and drive improvements.
• Champion high expectations and inclusive classroom practice and ensure SEND learners receive needed support.
• Contribute to self-assessment, quality improvement planning and inspection readiness.
