Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs in primary schools across Manchester and surrounding areas.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group SEND support, delivering targeted interventions, and helping pupils with literacy, numeracy, and communication while promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour in a varied school day.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working within a UK school.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH.
• Strong understanding of inclusive classroom practice.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small-group SEND support.
• Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Delivering targeted interventions.
• Supporting literacy, numeracy, phonics, and communication.
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour.
• Supporting children during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times.
• Working closely with teachers and SENCOs.
• Helping pupils develop independence and confidence.
